Since she was 4, Lesly has competed at regionals in Galveston, TX every year, as well as UDA Nationals in Orlando, FL in 2010. She has been to UDA Nationals in 2000, 2002, 2007, 2010, 2017, 2020, and 2023. Having learned and choreographed various styles of routines throughout the years, Lesly specializes in Jazz/Pom.
Starting college, Lesly stepped up as Assistant Director to her mother’s dance studio along with becoming the head coach of the Iowa High Dazzlers, and creating the Iowa Middle Sparklers dance team. During this time she was also asked to audition to be a UDA instructor. Lesly continued to take both her studio teams and school teams to camps, regionals, and nationals where they were awarded multiple titles.
Lesly graduated college May of 2020, and her hometown was devastated by Hurricane Laura that August followed immediately by Hurricane Delta. She moved to Colorado soon after, and accepted a coaching position at Poudre. In her second season with the dancers she started a JV team, and partnered with Spark Dance Team Training to create Mini and Junior feeder dance teams for Poudre.
Between coaching dance teams and hiking in the mountains, Lesly is currently living her dream life.
